Certificate IV in Disability
Disability ACT in partnership with CIT Centre for Health, Community and Well Being, Southside Campus is offering direct support workers the opportunity to undertake Certificate IV in Disability.
As part of the Certificate IV Disability Program you will:
- Undertake and complete core and elective competencies
- Participate in a combination of classroom and work based learning
- Be assessed on and off the job
- Gain recognition for current competencies
- Graduate with the Certificate IV in Disability
Certificate IV in Disability
The next intake will commence Semester 1, 2012 and will take one year (two semesters) to complete. Attendance in the CIT classroom will be required one day per week – Tuesdays, during semester one & two.
Limited places available to Disability Support Officers - DSO2 or those with at least 3 months experience acting in that role as a DSO2 (DACT) and direct Support Workers from the community sector.
So....are you currently a:
- Direct support worker (DSO2 or experience acting as a DSO2) in a supervisory role
- Direct support worker who demonstrates leadership qualities
- Direct support worker advancing your career
- Direct support worker willing to commit to two semesters of study
