HOW TO ACCESS A COMPUTER - if you have a disability There are many alternatives to the standard keyboard and mouse. Big keyboards, little keyboards, coloured keyboards, picture keyboards, on-screen keyboards, trackballs, joysticks, systems based on mouth or head movement, or eye gaze, and switch-based systems. The first part of this seminar will look at these options and evaluate their strengths and weaknesses. The second part of the seminar will focus on using your voice to control a computer. This will be presented by Sean Fitzgerald, who uses speech recognition extensively to maximise his independence and productivity through a computer.
