National network needed to track predatory health workers, says commisssioner Steve Tully

HEALTH workers who prey on the disabled can move between states and avoid detection because there is no national criminal checking system.

Unlike other professionals who must have a national police check, a disability worker convicted of an offence can simply move to another state to continue their abuse, Health and Community Service Complaints Commissioner Steve Tully told The Advertiser.
