Description:Canberra’s premiere youth circus is seeking a Programs Coordinator. Warehouse Circus teaches circus skills to young people in after school programs, in school programs and school holiday programs. We foster a cooperative environment where young people can feel safe and learn life skills through circus training and performances. We have a number of exciting projects on the horizon including ‘Circus for Life’ – a three week circus festival in November this year, new programs for young adults with ASD and for over 50s, and expansion into the north side of Canberra through our new after school program opening up at UC High School Kaleen.
The Programs Coordinator will be responsible for the facilitation of enrolments in Warehouse Circus programs including but not limited to handling phone and email enquiries, invoicing, managing class rolls and waiting lists and maintaining participant records.
As the first point of contact for the organisation, it is very important that the selected person is friendly and approachable, with a good phone and email manner. Proficiency with, or ability to learn, basic accounting and administration procedures is required. Attention to detail and a thorough approach to administration is a must. Experience working with MYOB Account Right Plus and Microsoft Excel will be highly valued.
We are looking for someone with a passion for community arts who demonstrates an understanding of our strategic direction and how they can contribute to helping Warehouse Circus achieve its strategic goals. We aim to foster a full understanding of our business with opportunities for learning and professional development for all employees. Applicants should be ready for a challenge, be willing to continually learn on the job and adapt that learning to new projects. We have a very positive and fun work environment which we hope any applicant will appreciate and add to.
