EARLY DAYS WORKSHOPS:

EARLY DAYS WORKSHOPS:
EARLY DAYS is a series of workshops for mothers, fathers, carers and families of young children (0-6 years) who are going through the assessment and diagnostic process or who have an Autism Spectrum Disorder.  These workshops are provided free of charge, funded by the federal government Helping Children with Autism initiative and delivered by local facilitators.  Early Days Workshops provide up-to-date information about Autism as well as what it means for your child and family. You will learn practical strategies that you can use at home to make a difference to your child’s development.  Workshops are held at Autism Asperger ACT, at Chifley in the ACT.
The following workshops have been scheduled for the second half of 2013:
Introductory Workshop, Saturday 21 September
Understanding Behaviour, Saturday 9 November
Specialised workshops are available and can be arranged by contacting an Autism Advisor. Please click here for more information on workshops for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families. Please click here for more information on workshops for families from some Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds.

Early Days also offer online workshops. These differ in content from face-to-face workshops, so they can be done in addition to the Workshops held here at AAACT. They also offer an alternative if you cannot attend a face-to-face workshop at this stage. Click here to find the online workshops.
