One of the most pressing issues facing carers in the ACT is the lack of adequate support to help people with a disability or mental illness to live independently. On Wednesday 14 March, Carers ACT held a Summit to bring together government representatives, service providers, carers and other stakeholders to identify how families can get better access to supported living in the ACT.
From the Summit a Call to Action was presented to Katy Gallagher, Chief Minister of the ACT, on the morning of the 15th of March. This document outlines a plan for genuine action to address need in the critical area of supported living options
