Hartley Lifecare are excited to provide Assistive Technology workshops to be
held throughout the year for people with a disability, carers and disability
support workers throughout the ACT & surrounding region.
Dr Graeme Smith , who is a national expert in the application of modern
technology to the needs of people with a disability, will present each
workshop at the Hartley Lifecare training facility located at 6 Hodgson
Place in Pearce.

TOPIC: Independence at Home
TIME: 2pm - 4pm

Assistive technology can increase the independence of people with a
disability at home. It can enable the control of doors, television, lights,
air conditioner, heaters, fans, carer alarms and security systems.
It can also provide effective control over landline and mobile phones.
This workshop will outline available options and demonstrate how they work.
Cost of the workshop is $30; there is no charge for people with a
disability.
