Certificate III in Population Health -Scholarship Assistance for Community Sector Workers

Certificate III in Population Health -Scholarship Assistance for Community
Sector Workers

As part of the ACT Health Directorate's commitment to increasing health
promotion capacity in the ACT community, the Health Improvement Branch is
offering scholarship assistance for participants to attend an exciting new
course in Population Health, offered by the Canberra Institute of Technology
from May 2013. A brochure with more details can be found at
http://www.health.act.gov.au/hpgrants.

The Certificate III in Population Health provides an ideal introduction to
health promotion and population health concepts and will offer a recognised
qualification for workers in the sector. There is also the opportunity,
through further coursework and attainment of nationally recognised
competencies, to progress to a Certificate IV in Population Health.

The course is predominantly conducted online, but with an initial
face-to-face (workshop) component where you will have the opportunity to
meet others working in the sector. Applicants need to commit to attending
all three sessions of the workshop to be held on three consecutive Fridays:
3 May, 10 May and 17 May 2013 at CIT Bruce Campus (exact times to be
advised).

The Health Improvement Branch of the ACT Health Directorate is offering
scholarship assistance for community sector workers wishing to undertake
this qualification. This includes payment of the fees for the initial
workshop component of the course (approximately $340). Applicants may be
eligible for reimbursement of further course fees upon successful completion
of the Certificate III qualification.

Scholarship assistance places are limited. To apply for scholarship
assistance please complete the simple application form found here
