YWCA of Canberra Great Ydeas Small Grants Program

The YWCA of Canberra is pleased to launch the 2013 round of the Great Ydeas
Small Grants Program.

The YWCA of Canberra aims to help women achieve their potential within the
Canberra region. Through the Great Ydeas Small Grants Program, the
Organisation aims to provide financial assistance to women in Canberra and
the surrounding regions to help them develop their skills and enable a
greater contribution to the community.

Women who have new and innovative ideas are strongly encouraged to apply for
a grant, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and young women
(30 years of age and under).

Some examples of the types of projects that the grant could be used for
include:
* community-based activities
* seeding funds for the establishment of a small business
* contribution towards the cost of secondment to another YWCA
* education or training opportunities
* conferences.
The annual pool of funds available through Great Ydeas is $8,000. Applicants
may apply for any amount up to $4,000 (including GST).

Applications are now open and close at COB on Tuesday 2 April 2013.
Successful applicants will be announced at the YWCA Round the World
Breakfast on Tuesday 23 April.
Application guidelines and forms are available on our website
