Aspect's Positive Behaviour Support Team is pleased to offer the Recipe for Success Workshop:
Recipe for Success is a unique autism specific Positive Behaviour Support workshop and has been running for eight years. It has been designed using contemporary evidence based strategies by Aspect's Positive Behaviour Support Team as part of their direct work with families and organisations. The workshop is suitable for both families and professionals to attend.

Aspect Recipe for Success Workshop has proven effectiveness:
An independent evaluation of the program in 2010 showed "evidence of an extremely significant decrease in challenging behaviours … and evidence of an extremely significant increase in parental self-efficacy following the 3-day workshop and again at the 4-6 week follow-up."

Participants who attend the Recipe for Success Workshop will:
• Develop a best practice understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder and how an ASD might contribute to
challenging behaviours

§ Develop and Individual ASD Profile
• Learn the key principles of how to create an ASD friendly environment • Be guided to write their own autism specific Positive Behaviour Support Plan based on a chosen behaviour • Learn step by step to write a Response Plan and respond confidently when challenging behaviour occurs • Learn step by step how to teach new skills to promote communication, emotional regulation and independence
