My Family First

This sounds like it could be very useful for parents with disabilities
who have had their children taken away from them


My Family First consists of approximately nine, two-hour group sessions
with each session dealing with a different issue relating to parents of
children in statutory care. The program covers such topics as
understanding grief and loss and managing separation, communicating with
and navigation of the service system and building positive
relationships. We will be running this program during term 2 on Thursday
mornings if we receive enough interest.
