Executive Officer

Autism Asperger ACT is an established non-profit organisation that works to
improve the lives of both children and adults who have an Autism Spectrum
Disorder (ASD). Autism Asperger ACT provides a range of support services
across the region ranging from advocacy, information services and support
groups for both people with an ASD and their families/carers. This hands-on
and exciting role will provide you with the opportunity to make a real
difference to our community.

Under the general policy direction and support of the Governance Committee,
the Executive Officer's responsibilities include:
1. Managing the operations of the association
2. Building meaningful relationships within government, business and
community organisations
3. Developing and executing sustainable funding strategies in order to
support and expand services, including the planning and management of major
fundraising events

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
* Personal drive and commitment towards assisting those with a
disability to achieve their full potential
* Strategic thinking and the ability to manage priorities and
deadlines
* Sound operational experience, especially running a small but
diverse organisation
* Experience (preferably at executive level) within the community
sector
* A strong ability to work with and influence a variety of
stakeholders

Salary package:
* The position is 37.5 hours per week (flexible) with four weeks'
leave (negotiable).
* Full time SACS 8-1 award + plus attractive salary packaging
options (including FBT concessions)
* Vehicle allowance of $16,000 (taxable)
* Mobile phone with personal usage allowance
