General Manager - Services
This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of significant changes
in the provision of disability and aged care services in Canberra.
Two leading community service providers, Tandem and Home Help Service (ACT),
are merging to create a new organisation that will provide personal and home
support services that enable people in our community to extend their
capacity to live where and how they choose - even when they need a little
help to do so.
The General Manager, Services will be responsible to the Chief Executive for
integrating and building our combined capacity to deliver effective, high
quality and innovative services that meet the needs of our community and to
do so in a manner that is commercially sustainable and contributes to our
development as a thriving social enterprise.
The successful applicant will posses the following skills and experience;
Demonstrated ability to develop and manage a diverse, services based
organisation Demonstrated ability to manage high quality "personal" service
delivery Understanding and empathy with social sector issues, values and
requirements Demonstrated ability to manage commercially sustainable
services Ability to work as part of a small, united and hands-on management
team Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline An ability to
get things done

service priorities.
