Imagine More
Real Choice. Real Control. Better Lives.
Imagine More is an emerging family leadership organisation in Canberra that
strives to empower individuals with a disability and their families to get
the good things of life.
Imagine more would like to invite families to this wonderful workshop
opportunity

Wednesday 26th June, 12:45pm – 4pm
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Centre, Lady Denman Drive,
Yarralumla, Canberra.

Wednesday 26th June, 5:15pm – 8:30pm
Merici College, 10 Wise St, Braddon, Canberra.

The first Enhanced Service Offer will be released on July 1st, 2013 and we
want to offer families this fabulous opportunity to learn from the Western
Australian experience and how individuals with their families have
implemented their individualised funding since 1988!! This workshop is
designed for individuals and families who want to learn more about
exercising choice and control in their lives through individualised funding
and self-directed approaches.
Since 1988, the Local Area Coordination (LAC) program in Western Australia
has been supporting people living with disability through individualised
funding. LAC is now moving to the next phase of its development through the
"My Way" project.
The workshop will be led by Bronia Holyoak who worked as a LAC Local Area
Coordinator and manager for more than 15 years. In March 2012, Bronia
founded Valued Lives, a new Western Australian organisation committed to
enabling people to self-direct their own supports and services to the extent
they desire.
