Personal Helpers and Mentors Program (PHaMs) Employment Specialist Worker $54,292.76 - $58,558.07 (38 hrs pw)
Woden Community Service (WCS ) is seeking a qualified and committed person with a background in delivery of both community mental health and employment services to provide one-on-one specialist support to assist people experiencing mental illness to overcome non-vocational barriers to finding and maintaining employment, training or education. WCS is responsible for the delivery of this extension to the PHaMs program in South Canberra, Woden/ Weston, Tuggeranong and Molonglo Valley.
The PHaMs program has a strengths-based and recovery approach that focuses on people's interests, skills and abilities and their capacity to lead satisfying lives. PHaMs workers develop strong relationships with participants of the program to increase involvement in the community by providing direct and personalised assistance, referral and linkages to appropriate services and activities.
People with qualifications in Mental Health, Community Education, Counselling, Community Development or Social Work are encouraged to apply. Attractive salary packaging is available.
