The next ACT NDIS community provider forum will feature a presentation from
Deborah Hoffman, NDS's NDIS Launch Site Coordinator. Deborah will provide
an overview and update on the roll-out of the NDIS in the four current NDIS
launch sites around the country.

This will be followed by a consultation focused particularly on the
transition of people with psychosocial/mental health needs into the NDIS and
its impact on providers.

Those attending are asked to consider, and have the opportunity to discuss
and report on one or more of the following issues (or any other issues that
are identified in the discussion) particularly in relation to people with
psychosocial disability:

* Eligibility criteria for the NDIS - knowledge, clarity and
implications
* NDIS Model of Care v Mental Health models - integration or
dissonance?
* Transition, interface and implementation - what is necessary to make
it work? What does the mental health sector need to support this change?
* Pricing - awareness, suitability and clarity

(The community sector provider forums are organised by a steering group
comprised of National Disability Services (NDS), the Mental Health Community
Coalition of the ACT, ACTCOSS, and the ACT Government's NDIS Taskforce. They
aim to assist the flow of information and support policy dialogue between
the community sector and Government (including the National Disability
Insurance Agency (formerly DisabilityCare Australia). They are a supplement
to other transition and information activities on the NDIS in the ACT.)
