Free service for parents and caregivers

We are a free, ACT wide service that supports and assists families that have
children 0 -5 years with challenging behaviours.
Our service offers parenting advice and behavioural strategies that are
specifically tailored to the child and their family lifestyle. Family
Foundations is a flexible service that strives to fit around day to day life
of participants, whether they have job commitments or are a stay at home
parent or guardian.
Home based appointments are an option for those who are at risk of social
isolation, or where office based appointments may otherwise be a barrier.
Our aims and organisational philosophy are highly participant focused and
strength based, giving parents and guardians the option of short or long
term case management.
We provide parents in the ACT with the opportunity to be involved in free
parenting programs. Family Foundations also provides customised training for
Early Childhood Educators on a wide range of topics including (but not
limited to) behaviour management, staff dynamics, setting boundaries and
working with parents.
