Talking to children and young people about sexuality and relationships

Sexual Health and Family ACT (SHFPACT) proudly present An information
evening for parents and caregivers

You are invited along to a free event hosted by Sexual Health and Family
Planning ACT.

Here at SHFPACT we believe that information about sexuality and
relationships delivered in a developmentally appropriate manner is a right
for all young people

Talking to Children and Young People about Sexuality and Relationships - an
information evening for parents will cover a variety of topics including the
background information to providing accurate, up-to-date and age appropriate
information to children and young people.

Topics covered include:
What is sexual health and relationships education?
Common concerns from parents
Why Now?
Practical Tips for Talking to Kids
Facts and Values
How to answer questions

We will also have our Library Resource Centre and Bookshop open - which will
provide participants with the opportunity browse a selection of books and
information re-sources that can assist in the discussions of these topics
within families.
