New speaking Circuit on disability

Looking for a speaker on disability access and inclusion? Know someone who
is?

Nican wanted to let you know about a new speaking circuit about disability
issues for clubs, business, associations and agencies.

We can send speakers to meetings and events such as Annual General Meetings,
Committee meetings, dinners or other small and large gatherings of staff,
members or volunteers.

The program is called Disability Confidence Canberra and provides facts
about disability, ideas, tips and tools to being accessible and inclusive.
We can tailor the talks to your needs. We have delivered talks to Lion's,
The National Botanic Gardens, The Museum of Australian Democracy and The
Australian Government Department of Communications.

The talks have been well received and have provided people with ideas and
information about ways to be inclusive, including small steps which can make
significant changes The speaking circuit part of the program is free and is
supported by the ACT Government in conjunction with the ACT Inclusion
Council (formerly BLITS). Participants can also access some detailed tools
and checklists which we have developed in partnership with Eric Martin and
Associates.

We are currently completing a schedule of speaking opportunities across the
year so if you are interested in taking up the offer you just need to let us
know if you are interested and when you think you might like a speaker (but
get in quick as slots are already filling up). Please feel free to pass
this on and invite interested people to touch base with us and we can send
