NDIS Update
Helping Children with Autism Program
I wish to advise that AAACT has recently signed-off on a 12-month extension on the contract with the Commonwealth Government for the "Helping Children With Autism" program that incorporates the "Autism Advisors" and "Early Days" initiatives targeted at individuals from 0-6 years of age impacted by ASD. The funding extension will provide AAACT the opportunity to work with both the Department of Social Services (DSS) and the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) over the next year to seek a smooth transition from the current HCWA arrangements to the new NDIA process. Please see attached a copy of a DSS presentation that sets out the timing and process for the transition arrangements. For further details go to:

Family Support Program
I am also pleased to advise that AAACT has signed a 12-month extension with the ACT Government for the "Family Support" program, which provides information, referral, and case management services to individuals seven and over subject to ASD. The funding extension will enable AAACT to collaborate with the ACT Department of Disability and the NDIA to transition to the new NDIS arrangements.

Chief Executive Officer
