Events Administration Assistant
Carers ACT is the recognised, expert voice with, and for carers while being
the major provider of carer services and supports in the ACT and Southern
Highlands Region. Our dedicated and skilled staff plays an essential role in
developing the organisation's goals and priorities to meet our mission.
This is an administrative role supporting the Commercial Services Team in
particular the Event Coordinators and Community Educator.
In this position you will support the events and education team in
organising and delivering events, promotions, forums, mingles, seminars and
gatherings.
We are looking for candidates with demonstrated leadership or team work
ability through school or sporting activities and experience working in an
office environment.
This position is responsible for:
1. Support the Events & Education Team in organising, and delivering,
events, promotions, forums, mingles, seminars and gatherings.
2. Provide a wide range of administrative duties including word
processing, data collection & entry, coordinate RSVP lists and special
requirements.
3. Maintain accurate Carer, Client and Service Provider records and data.
4. Work individually and collaboratively as part of a Team to maintain a
high quality, professional service.
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
1. Year 11 or 12 with willingness to undertake training to gain
Certificate III in Office Administration.
2. Experience in working in an office environment is highly desirable.
3. Demonstrated organisational skills with a strong attention to detail
4. Ability to take responsibility for achieving own work outcomes.
5. Well-developed computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft
Office suite, programs and databases.
6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to
liaise with a wide range of stakeholders.
7. Willingness to be flexible with working hours.
8. Working with Vulnerable People Registration.
9. Current Driver's Licence.
Salary: $36,000 + super + benefits
