MHCC ACT - Consumer & Carer Engagement Officer

MHCC ACT - Consumer & Carer Engagement Officer

Do you have a passion for Mental Health? Are you curious about how the wheels turn and churn at a systemic and policy level in mental health? Would you like the chance to have a real impact on the ACT community managed mental health sector?

An exciting opportunity is now available at Mental Health Community Coalition ACT (MHCC ACT) for a highly motivated person to join our small team. The Consumer & Carer Engagement Officer will provide secretariat support for our Consumer and Carer Caucus and grow the involvement of people with lived experience of mental health issues as consumers or carers in MHCC ACT activities. This is a newly created position and there is an opportunity for the successful candidate to shape the role.

MHCC ACT is the peak body for community-managed mental health organisations in the ACT. We strive for our work to be informed by the views and experiences of mental health consumers and carers.

This position is part-time 15 hours per week at ACT MEA level 4/5. The position is an identified position and lived experience of mental illness as a consumer and/or carer is a legitimate requirement of the position. We invite all interested individuals to apply! We encourage you to give us a call and have a chat about the position, even if you’re feeling a little shy.
