Do you know your rights and obligations when encountering police and security guards in public spaces?
The ACT Human Rights Commission, in conjunction with Legal Aid ACT and the Aboriginal Legal Service, has developed a new resource which outlines what to do, and what not do, when interacting with police or security guards in public.
The business card sized resource is designed to fit into a wallet or purse which will allow ready access to this information, to ensure people do not unnecessarily get caught up in the criminal justice system when in public spaces.
The wallet card will be launched on Wednesday 24 September 2014. The details are as follows:
When: Wednesday 24 September 2014
Where: Legal Aid Boardroom
