National Disability Services, the ACT Government, and People with Disabilities ACT invite all members of the public to a public information meeting about the launch of the National Disability Insurance Scheme in the ACT. NDS Chief Executive, Ken Baker, will be speaking at these meetings.

NDS is hosting a forum for disability organisations to provide more detailed information about the next steps of the NDIS and to seek input into its design.
Date: Thursday 27 September
Time: 1.00 - 4.00pm
Venue: NDS, 33 Thesiger Street , Deakin
This forum will invite advice on some of the complex design issues. Among other issues, the forum will include discussion of eligibility and assessment; choice and accountability; challenges for not-for-profit providers; and how the NDIS might function for different service types and disability groups - including organisations supporting people with sensory disabilities and neurological conditions. The forum will be an opportunity to ask questions and propose solutions. NDS Chief Executive Ken Baker will lead the discussion.
