Position Vacant within Carers ACT

Branch Out Café is a Social Enterprise that is designed to build the skills
and confidence of young adults with a disability and/or mental illness in a
real world setting and prepare them for future employment in the hospitality
industry. The Café is a funded program until June 30 2013 and the Café
Trainer plays an integral role in training the trainees to achieve the
competencies against the training program.

As the Café Trainer you will be responsible for:


* The smooth operation of all kitchen functions, food preparation, food
safety and hygiene, customer service and catering
* Direct and supervise the rostered trainee support workers
* Ensure trainees achieve competencies against the training program
* Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, for staff, volunteers,
trainees and assessors
* Coordinate and report against program performance and budget.


The successful candidate will have a Certificate IV in Workplace Training
and Assessment with experience in the hospitality industry preferably in a
café setting. You will have experience in catering and working in the
disability or mental health sector. For the full job description please
