Communications Coordinator
Carers ACT is the leading organisation that is dedicated to improving the
quality of life for Carers in the ACT. We have represented the interests of
over 43,000 Carers and their families since 1992. We are the only family
Carer centred, service provider in the ACT that provides information, advice
and services. Carer ACT has recently expanded their services to include the
Southern Highlands Region.
Every aspect of our work is underpinned by how we can improve Carers' lives
by ensuring they have information to give them choice and provide
opportunities to empower them to have their voices heard by policy and
opinion makers.
The Communications Coordinator works across the organisation to maximise
opportunities to create positive awareness of carers, caring issues, and the
role of Carers ACT within the community. It is responsible for ensuring that
internal and external organisational communication is highly effective,
targeted, timely and consistent with our quality framework and branding.
Essential Qualities
As an employee at Carers ACT you will be empathetic with a flexible approach
to managing the sensitivities of Carers Issues. You will have excellent
interpersonal skills with a high level of attention to detail. You will
have relevant qualifications in health, aged care or disability fields
together with high level verbal and written communication with demonstrated
knowledge of the community sector. High level of IT skills including the
use of Microsoft Office is essential along with a current driver's license.

This Position is classified as Specialist Level 2 with a Salary Range of
$58,650 to $62,100 and with Salary Packaging this becomes a potential gross
of $72,600 to $76,100.00.
