EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND CARE WORKSHOP

2 UNITS of competence towards the Cert III in Early Childhood Education and
Care qualification (CHC30113)
This course is made possible from funding under the Priority Support Program
an initiative of the ACT Education Directorate.

When: Thursday 24th JULY and Thursday 31st JULY 2014
Time: 9.00am to 3.30pm
Where: 80 Beaurepaire St HOLT ACT

Cost: Nil

Eligibility criteria:
A PSP participant shall be:
* an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident of
Australia, or a person who is in Australia on an humanitarian refugee visa;
or
* an asylum seeker on a Bridging Visa with work rights AND
* an ACT resident or if an existing worker, work for an ACT
employer.

PSP participants shall also be:
* a job seeker, casual worker or volunteer who is from one of the
following groups:
* Person with a disability
* Indigenous Australian
* Mature-aged person (aged 40 years-of-age and over)
* Youth at risk (aged 15-24 years-of-age)
* Person without a qualification above certificate II

OR

* an existing worker without a qualification above certificate II

The units which will be covered are :
HLTWHS001 Participate in workplace health and safety
CHCPRT001 Identify and respond to children and young people at risk
