> Duncan Smith makes patterns to remember the past: his Wiradjuri ancestors, the things they did and where they lived. This includes places that have special meanings, like corroboree grounds, initiation grounds and burial sites. These special places were marked by scar trees that featured strong geometric patterns. As a Wiradjuri man, he believes it is his responsibility to tell the stories of his people.

> Water is essential to life. It sustains us and energises us. We are inspired by its beauty. We are in awe of its powers to both create and destroy, to give and take life. There is an evolutionary theory that humans evolved from a semi-aquatic lifestyle; this may help to explain our innate love of water. Stretton's paintings explore her visual and emotional reaction to water and the interplay between water and light, and water and life.

> Price's Café was one of the few places on the south coast where the Aboriginal community was supported and made welcome in 1950s Australia. The café ignored the mainstream, opened its arms and became a connecting point for the Yuin and wider Aboriginal community from across NSW and the ACT. Developed through conversations with Elders, the exhibition features interviews, archival photographs and a re-created café setting developed by South East Arts.
